Contract Operations Specialist - Remote in PST

This position is responsible for the installation and administration of assigned contracts, including, but not limited to structure building and billing set up, eligibility collection, structure revisions, researching & resolving structure issues, database loading, and preparation of plan materials such as administrative documents and customer education materials. Positions are responsible for overall contract loading using various databases and/or source documents. May research installation issues & develop customer specific resolutions. May include auditing contract loads for adherence to quality measures and reporting standards. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 800 AM - 500 PM PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. This will be paid on-the-job training, and the hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule from Monday - Friday. If you are located within the Pacific Time Zone, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities • Manage intake, assisting with projects • Triage requests based on status of provider • Communicate with Care Delivery Organizations • Communicate with providers • Process and distribute various different contract documents • Training internal teams on systems • Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise • Investigates non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others • Works exclusively within a specific knowledge area • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines • Provides explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise • Other tasks as assigned You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience • Must be 18 years of age OR older • 2+ years of work experience in State of California Managed Care environment - IPA, Physician Office, Hospital Administrative, OR other Health Care related industry • Experience working with healthcare claims • Experience with computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Office - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams • Experience in working with Microsoft SharePoint • This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Preferred Qualifications • Provider contracting experience • Provider relations experience Telecommuting Requirements • Reside within Pacific Time Zone. • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
