Job Title: Mobile Technician II Department: Maintenance Country: United States of America State/Province: Virginia City: Winchester Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: As a Mobile Technician II, you are responsible for performing intermediate service and repair of J.B. Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment. Under routine supervision, this role works outside of the shop, servicing equipment at customer sites or rail yards using our mobile service truck. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs, including tire replacements, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics and basic structural repairs on tractor or trailer equipment Troubleshoot and repair ABS system Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory Assist with the onboarding and mentorship of tractor technician trainees Follow all safety requirements while onsite and at customer locations Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures Properly document damage to company equipment to estimate cost of repairs Demonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipment Patch holes in trailer or container side panels and roofs Perform annual AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections under direct supervision Work Schedule: Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Scheduled workdays (Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday) will be assigned by management.
