Urban Flooring Company Limited is looking for a reliable, hard-working individual who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in flooring.

This is an entry-level position. Full training provided. What matters most is attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Important – Please Read Before Applying

We work in and around Newcastle for the majority, but also on commercial and residential projects across the UK.

  • Working away from home is often required
  • Early starts are normal
  • Overnight stays will be necessary

If travelling and working away is not for you, this role is not suitable.

  • Valid Green CSCS card – required
  • Full UK driving licence – required

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting experienced floor layers on commercial and domestic projects
  • Preparing and levelling subfloors
  • Learning to install LVT, laminate, engineered and hardwood flooring
  • Learning to sand and restore solid wood floors
  • Using professional sanding machinery and finishing products
  • Loading/unloading materials and keeping sites organised

You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your skills improve.
